No it's not called what I thought it was?

I was wrong to think

maybe there was more.

Shallows' is the name to the place.

Farther away I go

even though I'm not moving.

Yet the thoughts of something more that may be beneath that character.

To ride the waves? To fill your soul? Yet it seems you are wasting your time.............................and mine.

Some places I haven't been to in a while. I know where they are, I just never made the time to go. All the trees and plants were like the ones I remember...maybe some are new.

I wanted to see more native plants.

But that will be another trip.

Once I make the time.

Or did I already make it?

And I found something that looks like another...

Next time I'll go.

Nihoa what did you look like when we were young?

Unsettled...

...sitting at the dinner table I can't seem to figure out what I'm feeling. It's been almost 10 months and yet this aftertaste remains.  Knowing that moving forward was done before the end came...

      Like fresh ogo from the ocean and the smell of Ironwood needles. The horizon; overcast with cumulus and calm winds reaching out from the south.

       Still I can't figure "it" out.

-Dreams of people I have never met.

-Ideas and no outlet.

-Cool night air.

Past weekends...

-This year felt different.

-New people and no old memories.

-Good food though.

-But still no leads.

-Somethings need to be set into motion, and I haven't done that. What  was I expecting?

-Winter is here and the south shore is starting to calm down.

with luau feet who couldn't hear

hugged herself

asking me without speaking

"How come I feel this way

 when the music pau?"

And for answering her

"Becuase you wear the cape

 of La'amaomao around your neck"

I caught a spear through the eye

and turned into a horse

Mounted by a dazzling Princess

gowned in red pa'u

with huge red hibiscus

in her long 'ehu hair

spicy ahi and dreams...

-A long and slow day.

-Hinano, a spicy ahi bento and california rolls.

-Dreams of a 1920's Kailua beach.

-New neighbor on my calendar.

-Busy rooftop barbecues and no time to nap.

-Anyone there??

arabiki and the week in review...

This past week has gone...

-Wind and some rain.

-Waves that weren't meant to be.

-Unexpected images.

-And what seems like another dead end.

An unexpected image painted sometime during the week in front of my work place...

-4 hours in the water, Populars was not as popular.

-Arabiki in bacon fat...

-Salmon dinner and milk with rice crispy treats.

-Caffeine that keeps me cleaning.

departures...

She left for home today. Nothing here, just some fond memories. She'll be back in three weeks...for more rumor fodder.

-Quiet interior.

-A pile of dishes, unfinished walls and other projects.

-Fishing in a fish less pond?

-Rekindled contacts, for next week.

-Kona tomorrow?

Too much to drink. During and post bbq... Dawn session, the best I had in a while. Maintenance and cleaning, keeps her riding clean lines... Town and other errands. Like a kid in a candy store with no money...

5 am rain...

-snooze for 15 maybe 16 minutes.

-cat shaped paper clips.

-rain falling on pavement.

-distant satellites before the sunrise.

-a cool breeze through the jealousy windows.
